Tues. through Fri.: 10 am - 6 pm
Sat 8:15 am - 5 pm

The Nail Esthetics program consists of 200 hours of classroom and hands-on nail care training combined with 100 hours of manager’s training that covers advanced techniques. Students in the Nail Esthetics program will receive the education necessary to become licensed as Managing Manicurists.
Introduction / Alpha Unit Beta Unit Gamma Unit / Salon Lifestyle
Learn the fundamentals of natural and artificial nail care, and massage techniques for the hands and feet. In this unit you will review the related sciences of anatomy and histology, along with the state safety requirements.

Apply your knowledge through clinic experiences while you increase your understanding in the classroom. In this unit, you will refine your skills and gain the expertise you need to meet Aveda Institute Columbus' nail care service standards and state safety requirements.

Learn real-world strategies to get the career of your dreams, from interviewing to resume writing and beyond. Fine-tune your accuracy, speed and concentration for your career in a salon. Learn and develop your selling and salon management skills for your future in the beauty industry. At this point, you will have the competency required for the skill certification examination, as well as theoretical knowledge needed to pass the written examination required by Aveda Institute Columbus and the State of Ohio for licensure.
